Chocolate Contest Information

Monday and Tuesday, September 8 & 9, 2008

The Chocolate Festival of Texas invites you to participate in our

Chocolate contest, with your most decadent chocolate treat or dessert.
Be creative, as long as it has chocolate in it, its eligible.

Winners will be awarded prizes on stage prior to the Taste of Home

Cooking School. You will also receive post event publicity.

Prizes

1^st place……Trophy and Special Gift

2^nd place……Trophy and Special Gift

3^rd place……Trophy and Special Gift

Each winner will also receive an apron and award certificate

Bonus Prize

Enter the contest for a special surprise!

An additional prize will be awarded to one randomly selected contest entrant,
all entries receive a participant certificate

Judging Criteria

Taste (overall and chocolate taste) 50%

Originality/Creativity 25%

Appearance 25%

Contest Requirements

·        Chocolate Entry must be original

·        Any vendor or school may enter, limit 2 entries

·        Entries need to be labeled with title of entry,

          contestant name or (Company name), and in disposable 

          container                          

·        Completed entry must be at judging area by 5:30pm

·        Judging begins at 5:45pm

·        Winners announced at 6:30pm
